For Canadians, Cuba has always been a popular vacation destination. If you’re thinking of making your way down to Cuba and wondering where to stay, choose the Paradisus Princesa Del Mar. A five star all-inclusive resort in the heart of Veradero.
The Paradisus Princesa Del Mar is nestled right along one of the most beautiful beaches on the island. The resort provides you with an All-Inclusive experience in a boutique style hotel. Why boutique? Well, it’s unique architecture and personal dedication from the staff make you feel like you’re getting the personal dedication you might receive at a smaller property. Since Cuba is technically still run like a communist country, every member of the staff makes the same wage. Therefore they all work to the best of their abilities to heard commission, so that the group as a whole can earn more at the end of the day. The staff at Paradisus showcase teamwork at it’s finest, and the guests are given the best experience possible.
The property is an adult-only resort, complete with a spa, 3 lagoon-style swimming pools and 5 outdoor hydromassage pools, multiple restaurants with different fusion and cultural cuisines, as well as nightly entertainment options throughout the week! Cuba Night was my favorite, the dancers were incredible! We tried all of the restaurants, but our favorite was probably the Hilltop for the romantic setting, and the Tapanyaki restaurant for flavour and experience!
During my time at the resort, I stayed in the Royal Services section of the property and I would highly recommend this for the romantics out there. The Royal Services section is more of a private area for the resort. It offers you a luxury experience, access to swim-up suites, premium bar services and a personal butler to help you with anything you may need throughout your stay. If you’d like to experience this, ask for Ernesto as your butler! He did an amazing job, was friendly and went above and beyond without even being asked. His memory was also amazing, he knew the dinner reservation times for all of his guests. He was such a true champ!
Now for the best part, the beach. The beach was just gorgeous. It was well-maintained, safe and the beach chairs and huts were the best part of our stay. They were also incredibly popular. We would wake up at 8 am to grab our chairs, and there would already be multiple people out there trying to get theirs before the rush comes through. If you do want the best seat in the house- get there early!
