4 Ways To Earn Aeroplan Miles & Save on Travel
When you travel as often as I do, the little things that make your trip better go a lot further. I didn’t even realize all of the ways to earn travel rewards, let alone how it could help you save on travel. Before I started working for myself, I honestly had no idea how valuable it was to become a member of any loyalty program. I mean I didn’t even become a rewards member for my local coffee shop even though I was buying a coffee there each morning. Even if you aren’t travelling full-time and are only going on one or two vacations a year, being an Aeroplan member gives you so many amazing opportunities, and lets you earn miles all year round.

Here are some of the ways you can earn rewards with Aeroplan

- Earn Miles for Hotel & Car Rental Bookings
It’s a common misconception that you can only earn miles when booking airfare. You can actually earn 4 miles per dollar spent on all cash bookings when you use Aeroplan’s booking tool to reserve your hotel and car rental – even if you’re just looking to get away for work or for a weekend. There are more than 250,000 hotels to choose from around the world and Aeroplan members can also earn miles when they redeem their existing miles for a car rental.
- Choosing Air Canada for Your Flights
You earn up to 150% of the miles you fly on when using eligible Air Canada or Air Canada Express flights, plus earn extra miles with select purchases made on aircanada.com. These flights can be personal or for business. You will still earn either way! This is great for you business travellers out there.
- Aeroplan-affiliated Credit Card
Good news Amex holders! You can swap your Amex points for Aeroplan Miles to take advantages of their booking tool, but did you know you can also get an American Express Aeroplan Plus card if you’re based in Canada? This will let you earn Aeroplan Miles with all of your purchases, even when you’re just buying groceries! You’ll also be able to earn up to 4% cashback for your business with this card! If you’re not into Amex, don’t worry, there are also great TD and CIBC Aeroplan-affiliated credit cards that will let you earn with your everyday purchases as well!
Even if you don’t earn a ton of miles each year, you can still take advantage of some of Aeroplan’s amazing opportunities.
