My Fitness Journey with Eastern Edge – Part 2

A few months ago, I talked about beginning my transformation journey with my Personal Trainer Shon, owner of Eastern Edge.
Since starting with him in October, I have seen such a dramatic change in my body, more specifically in my strength. When we first started, I could barely hold myself up to do 7 push-ups. Now I can do 3x that amount. It may not seem like a lot, but to me that is such a significant change. I also have muscle definition that I have never seen before, even at the fittest points in my life.

Shon guided me carefully through 3 of the 5 Stages of Eastern Edge and quickly transformed my body and my mind.

The 5 Phases of the Eastern Edge

• Carving – Fat Burning
• Modelling – Muscle Building/Posture Correction/Shaping
• Casting – Solidifying Your Shape, Body and Core
• Construction – Teaching Your Body How to Operate Itself Using the Core
• Polishing – Dynamic Full Body Workouts That Make You Shine
• Stretching

His tactics are unique in that they challenge your body in a few different ways during a workout. He uses a blend of resistance training, martial arts and body building practices to create a fluent workout that targets all of the muscles in specific areas. I often would get sore in muscles I didn’t even know I had! He is truly a craftsman and a master in his trade.

Personally, I still have a long way to go until I am 100% happy with my fitness again – especially after Christmas!! However, without Shon’s help, I wouldn’t have made it this far or gained as much knowledge about working out as I have. I certainly would have avoided push-ups at all costs not knowing how important they were for your overall strength.

I’m about mid-way through my transformation, but I can already see how different I look and feel and I can’t wait to see how I look 3 months from now.
