I feel like I am the last person who should be telling you how to get into a healthy routine. I mean, I usually wake up and immediately reach for my phone to check for new emails and measure the results of my last Instagram post.
Unfortunately, the reality of how unhealthy this is really hit me the hard way. After countless mental breakdowns and anxiety attacks, I realized I needed a change and now that I am back from Fashion Month and have a new workout outfit, I’ve decided it’s a perfect time to get into a healthy routine, for my sanity and for my body.
Here’s the unfortunate part, I still haven’t quite figured out the best way to do that, but here’s where I plan on starting.
1.) Wake up by 5:30 AM every day. Why 5:30? Well most of my clients are on the EAST coast, meaning my emails start pouring in at about 6 AM. This means that if I want to start staying on top of things, I’ll need to be up before everyone else, and ready to work by 7-8 AM my time.
2.) Enjoy a cup of coffee, write out my affirmations and manifestation and take a minute to be grateful for what I have. This is hard to do, but whenever I do this, my energy levels go up and opportunities seem to just magically appear.
3.) Get in 30 minutes of cardio before starting my day. True, going to the gym builds muscle, but going for a run gets me outside which is much more important to me. Especially because I spend most of my days couped up inside.
It’s not much, but it’s a start and I can’t wait to see how I feel after 30 days of this.
