I’ve been home for a few days now and been seriously enjoying some recovery time at home. My days have consisted of Netflix and countless episodes of the Vampire Diaries, Harry Potter and Twilight to satisfy my inner nerd and take a mental break from my reality, aka the fashion world. I have barely left the couch and I have absolutely no shame about that fact.
I always talk about all of the things I have learned during Fashion Month when I return to Canada. It’s normally centered on what trends are up and coming (metallics, plums, and velvet for the win!), but this time I feel like I learned more about myself.
Usually I end up coming home completely drained both physically and mentally, but this time I feel so inspired. I met so many wonderful people on this trip and it was all because I chose to just go with the flow. It wasn’t structured, I missed a few shows due to my lack of organization, but I enjoyed it. I had an amazing time and I think that in itself made this past fashion month one of my favorites so far and my biggest lesson was learning to let go of some of my control freak tendencies and just go with it.
Don’t worry, I will still be telling you all about the upcoming trends in some of my runway reviews, but for now we’re just going to talk about this outfit that my sister and I shot on Champs-Élysées while we were in Paris for fashion week! I actually bought this top from H&M in Paris and couldn’t seem to find it when I got home so I’ve linked a similar one aalong with the rest of the outfit details below!
