I feel so thankful to be collaborating with Vega for this weeks Live Fit post. Vega is by far my favorite nutritional supplement company for a few reasons. For starters, they pride themselves on being one of the only brands on the market to provide athletes with 100% plant-based diet supplements. They do this by cutting out products like whey and soy which are often found in your standard protein shakes. These ingredients aren’t for everyone… in fact I find that most Whey Protein shakes make me feel nauseous after I down them and I tend to avoid overdoing the soy to a couple of times a week as it’s been known to contain amounts of hormones.
Vega One powder because it has pretty much every nutrient you could need in one scoop! I find this especially important as I train as I often find that I can never eat enough to get EVERYTHING I need to maintain my active lifestyle.
With each scoop you get:
- 50% daily intake of vitamins and minerals
- 15 grams protein
- 6 grams fiber
- 1.5 grams Omega-3s
- 3 servings of greens
How do I enjoy my Vega One?
I have it for breakfast and make a pudding concoction out of it! How do I make it? It’s actually really easy and convenient. See pictures below for an example.
1.) Take one scoop of Vega One (Vanilla) and add it to a bowl
2.) Add Almond Milk …just a enough to dilute the powder, you can use your Vega One scoop to measure if it’s easier
3.) Add 1 tbsp of hemp seeds
4.) Add organic, unsweetened coconut flakes (I use as much as I want but it’s typically 2 tbsp)
5.) Stir together with a spoon until smooth!
Voila! Now you have my makeshift protein pudding recipe complete with photos. If you feel like swapping out the flavors, go for it.. Chocolate Vega Sport is another great one for this recipe!
Stay tuned for recipe’s and updates from me and the Vega team in the upcoming weeks!
