Sweet Nothings. Also known as words of affection exchanged by lovers and just so happens to be the name of this Free People dress.
It’s also an area that I think we could all use a little more of in our lives. Especially considering Valentine’s Day right around the corner.
So often people get comfortable with their relationships (myself included) and forget to slow down and take a breather to just enjoy each other’s company. It’s almost like there is some unwritten rule that tells us it’s not normal to be romantic if it’s not Valentine’s Day, a birthday or an anniversary. It’s a shame really. Why is it that we don’t feel the need to say something sweet every day? It’s sometimes even seen as a sign of weakness and I really hate that. I think I must annoy my boyfriend because I make a point of telling him how much he means to me regularly and even question if its enough because of how busy we both are. Maybe to some that might come across as overbearing or clingy, but to me I just think it’s important.
Okay, rant over! Time to talk about the dress that inspired the post! Not even kidding, it’s actually called the Sweet Nuthin dress. This dress tends to be more popular in the summer or early fall, but it comes in darker plums and reds that make it a perfect addition to your winter wardrobe. I am naturally more of a neutral girl and a real sucker for grey shades so I decided to break the rules and turn this transitional dress into a winter staple by pairing it with these oh-so-trendy OTK boots and my favourite suede hat.
Fun Fact: This dress is now under $50, reduced from $90! So it’s a total steal and it comes in other shades as well. You can shop the look by heading to the Free People website or by clicking the links below.
