REVIEW: MOON PALACE JAMAICA, WITH SUNWING

About a month ago I had the opportunity to take a trip to Jamaica with Sunwing Vacations. They put us up in the luxury Moon Palace in Ocho Rios! I had stayed at Palace Resorts in Cancun last summer with Dustin, so I was super excited to be staying at their sister property in Jamaica!

Palace Resorts have some of the best all-inclusive dining options that I have ever experienced so I fully intended on eating my way through the entire week. The food in Cancun was mouth-watering and Jamaica was no exception.

Moon Palace Jamaica had over 5 stand-alone dining options, in addition to your usual snack bar. My two favorite restaurants were Pier 8, a traditional seafood restaurant, and Momo which was Japanese fusion. Pier 8 was located right along the beach, making it a cute spot to have dinner under the stars. Momo had amazing sushi and offered you a fun and interactive teppanyaki experience which is a total must-try for you and your family.

Our rooms were bright and airy and overlooked the beach area. I say beach area because most properties in Ocho-Rios are actually along a small bay, rather than your typical Caribbean stretch of sand. This gave the resort an extra private feel, allowing for optimal relaxation!

The beach was very well maintained with plenty of beach chairs for you to relax in. One of my favorite highlights of this property was the gazebo that stretches out into the water. It’s usually used for a wedding ceremony, but it made for such a nice walk at sunrise. There was also a secluded beach area right next to it to add even more intimacy.

I know we’re talking a lot about intimacy and relaxation in this review, but the property is actually 100% family friendly. There’s a kids and teen area, a surf simulator, water slides and daily entertainment for all ages. So yes, it’s a great place to relax and get some romance, but also a great place to bring the whole family!

Highlights:

– Plenty of beach chairs to soak up that vitamin D.

– Not one, but two hot tubs

– A nightclub on the property

– Boulangerie (the cutest café)

– Comfy beds

– Water Activities that are included with your stay

– Easy to book and get to with Sunwing Vacations
