My Confession

Okay maybe more like end of summer daydream, but that doesn’t have the same kind of fairy tale ring to it now does it?

My good friend Randa of The Unprecedented and my friend Eleni of Convey the Moment have been encouraging and inspiring me to be more personal on the blog so that my readers have the opportunity to know a little bit more about me. I think I have been starting to go that route but am not overly fond of over sharing unless I trust you. Today I want to share a bit more so I am going to go outside of my comfort zone and dive in. My boyfriend and I have been having a lot of problems. It’s been really hard on both of us and we had some bad events and experiences that make good reasons to separate. We had a very hard time getting his visa to Canada. Both of our stress levels were high and a lot of arguments occurred because of it and now it feels like we cannot recover from them. Unfortunately for me, I am a firm believer in perseverance through hardship and I have a hard time letting go because I am convinced and determined to make it work. Afterall, you can have anything you put your mind to right? Unfortunately there are circumstances beyond my control and feelings that have been hurt quite possibly beyond repair and I hate that I have no control over that. I am not a control freak, but I don’t like failing. I simply don’t think that two people who love each other should give up. I think whatever comes your way in life, you should roll with the punches and take the necessary steps to get from A to B. To be clear, it requires work from both parties to make it work, sometimes A LOT of work. I think I may have to accept that there is a point in time where I must stop working so hard and accept things for what they are. What do you think?

By the way. I have been getting a lot of questions about my shorts (because I wear them quite often!) So I wanted to include a little note on them. I got these shorts from The link at the very bottom of this post  will take you directly to the shorts..  they are just $15!!

Sheinside is one of my favorite online shopping destination because they offer you so many different trends for such an affordable price. If you feel like you have done as much as you can and gotten the most you will put of the relationship without compromising your sanity and soul, then you have to do what is right for you. It sounds like you have worked harder than most to make it work, but you can’t change another person if they don’t want to change and there is only so much you can take for yourself and your health. You have a good head on your shoulders and will make the right decision.

    • Hi Laura,

I think my issue is I put all of myself into everything I love to make things work, whether that is love or life. I feel like I have my sanity in check but I do understand and believe exactly what you are saying. It can’t be one person making changes. Thank you so much for you comments and your strength! you sound much tougher than me! 😉

First of all I want to say that it must be really scary to share something so personal. I have been with my boyfriend just over 6 years and let me tell you it has not been easy! I moved to another country to be with him, we have also had a lot of problems with papers. We have been through more in 6 years than I think some people will ever have to, it’s been incredibly stressful. We have considered giving up on multiple occasions but he is the love of my life and I am his. I will never stop fighting. There has been things I have learned to forgive but that has taken time. Love is love and not all relationships are like they are in the movies. I say if you love each other then keep fighting for each other. Good things come to those who wait! Good luck x

    • Thank you so much Terri! xoxo! I needed to hear that.
