Frequency Separation

I have been playing around with Photoshop again and have found a few great photo editing tricks that I am looking forward to sharing with you in an upcoming Blogger Series that I am working on! It’s been a goal of mine to start a Blogging section of Living Boldly for a while to help share some of the tips and tricks that I have learned along the way. In the meantime, here is an example of how I used Frequency Separation to help my images get that editorial feel. Frequency Separation is a Photoshop technique used to help separate the colours and the textures of an image. When retouching you can focus on just the texture or the skin beneath it to help make it seem more “flawless”. Clearly I have a lot more work to do to become an expert in this practice, but hey, maybe one day I will be a pro!

PS. The dress I am wearing in these photos is only $25 ! Shop the post below 🙂
