5 Easy Champagne Recipe’s for NYE

It’s no secret that Moet & Chandon is considered one of the best champagnes on the market. This is probably a big reason why so many venues choose to serve them and why so many of us turn to it. Wine Spectator ranks them in the 90’s (out of 100) stars and if you’re a wine buff, you know that is an AMAZING rating. It’s notes of citrus, nuts and brioche (yes, you heard that right) make it a favorite for anyone that tries it! Unless you don’t like the champagne at all, if that’s the case I may have a few recipe’s you can try that may suit your tastebuds a little more. I for one, like mine just the way it is.

Moet & Chandon, and most champagnes will have a naturally dryer taste and some people prefer a little more sweetness. That’s why I’ve included 5 easy champagne

recipe’s for you to try this New Years Eve! If you’re just interested in developing a taste for champagne, you can try adding some orange slices or berries to your glass to start. If you’re interested in something a little sweeter, read on!

1. Champagne Margarita

Ingredients:

  • 1/2 c. fresh lime juice
  • 1 bottle Moet & Chandon Imperial
  • lime wedges, for rim
  • salt, for rim

 

Directions:

  • Combine all ingredients in a large pitcher and stir well.
  • Run lime wedges around the rim of each champagne flute and dip the rims in coarse salt.
  • Divide margaritas between flutes and garnish with lime wedges.

2. Cranberry Mimosa

Ingredients:

  • fresh cranberries
  • cranberry juice
  • Moet & Chandon Imperial

Directions:

  • In champagne flutes, fill with 1/4 cranberry juice and top off with champagne.
  • Garnish with fresh cranberries

3. Champagne Julep

Ingredients:

  • fresh mint
  • honey
  • Moet & Chandon Imperial

Directions:

  • add one teaspoon of honey to the bottom of a champagne flute, fill the glass with champagne
  • add crushed fresh mint leaves, stir

4. Champagne Cocktail

Ingredients:

  • 1 sugar cube
  • Bitters
  • Moet & Chandon Imperial
  • lemon twist

Directions:

  • Add a sugar cube into a champagne glass. Lightly sprinkle the sugar cube with bitters and pour in your Moet & Chandon Imperial to fill the glass.
  • Garnish with a lemon twist before serving.

5. Orange Sparkler 

Ingredients:

  • 1 tbsp. Cointreau, Triple Sec or other orange liqueur
  • ¾ c. Moet & Chandon Imperial
  • 1 orange twist

Directions:

  • Pour the orange liqueur into a flute.
  • Top with the Moet & Chandon Imperial and garnish with the twist.
